India’s young batting sensation Yashasvi Jaiswal is set to return to domestic cricket as he makes himself available for Mumbai’s upcoming Ranji Trophy 2025-26 fixture against Rajasthan. The match will take place at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur from November 1 to 4, making it his first appearance in the current Ranji season. The southpaw decided to join his state team as a part of his preparation for India’s two-match Test series against South Africa next month. The first Test is scheduled to begin on November 14 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, followed by the second in Guwahati from November 22.

Jaiswal last represented India in the Test series against the West Indies, where he scored 219 runs in three innings at an average of 73. Before that, during the England tour, he hammered 411 runs in 10 innings with two centuries and two half-centuries. Notably, Jaiswal last featured for Mumbai in January 2025 against Jammu and Kashmir, where he scored 4 and 26 in the two innings. Earlier this year, he was also seen in action during the Duleep Trophy semifinals for West Zone.
