After a heartbreaking defeat at the hands of India in the previous match, the Pakistan team will now take on Zimbabwe on October 27 at the Perth Stadium. In a nail-biting game, the Men in Green failed to cope with the pressure as the last bowl of Mohammad Nawaz decided the fate of the match. On the other hand, the Craig Ervine-led side looked average in their last match against South Africa as rain helped them earn one point from the match.

Talking about Zimbabwe, their bowlers were smashed all across the park by Quinton De Kock and that’s a massive reason to worry for the team management. Amidst bowling woes, their batting will give them some hope going ahead. Wesley Madhevere was in terrific form against the Proteas bowlers in the previous match and thus, he can be promoted up in the order when the Pakistan team introduces spinners. Sikandar Raza is someone who can change the complexation of the match at any given time and can prove to be really dangerous against a known opponent in the form of Pakistan.

Coming to Pakistan, the Babar Azam-led side played some really good cricket in their last match against India. Their middle order was heavily criticised coming to the T20 World Cup but Shan Masood and Iftikhar Ahmed changed that on October 24. Despite losing two early wickets of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, the Men in Green posted a total of 159 after 20 overs as both Masood and Ahmed smashed a half-century each against a quality Indian bowling lineup. With the bowl, they wreaked havoc up front but Virat Kohli with a brilliant inning took the game away from their hands. Overall, the team would not want to change anything coming into the match.

Pitch Conditions

The Optus Stadium in Perth will provide a lot of pace and bounce for the bowlers to take control. However, with time the batters can come into the picture and dominate the match. Bowling first will be ideal in these conditions.
