India's top order dominated the Aussies in the second match of five-match T20I series, taking a 2-0 lead in Thiruvananthapuram on November 27 with a 44-run win. Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Ishan Kishan each scored fifties, propelling India to a massive 235/4 before the bowlers limited Australia to 191. The series moves to Guwahati's Barsapara Cricket Stadium for the third T20I, which will be played on Tuesday, November 28.

Speaking about how the second game unfolded, India batted first and both openers reached their fifties respectively. Ishan Kishan's rapid-fire fifty (52 off 32) and Rinku Singh's blistering unbeaten 31 off nine balls propelled India to a formidable total. Nathan Ellis was the star bowler for Australia, taking three wickets for 45 runs in his four overs. Sean Abbott, on the other hand, had a forgettable day, giving away 56 runs without taking a wicket in his three.

Openers Steven Smith and Mathew Short scored 19 each in Australia'a chase but could not stay in for long while Glenn Maxwell and Josh Inglis also fell quickly, but Macrus Stoinis and Tim David steadied the innings with quickfire 45 and 37, respectively. Skipper Matthew Wade remained unbeaten on 42, but it was not enough. Wrist-spinner Ravi Bishnoi was the pick of the bowlers for India, taking 3/32 in four overs.

Australia will be looking to bounce back from two consecutive losses, while India will aim to seal the series victory with a win in the third match. The third T20I at Barsapara Cricket Stadium will be the second time these two teams will meet at the venue. Australia won by seven wickets and 27 balls remaining in the first instance.
