'I left my college notes in it' - Gaby Lewis reminds ICC of her two weeks delayed luggage

Gaby Lewis further asked the ICC as to whether there were any updates from them regarding her luggage.

The emergence of the new coronavirus variant Omicron meant that the qualifiers for the 2022 edition of the Women’s World Cup had to be postponed. And, the Ireland cricket team travelled back to their country.

Also, the luggage of the cricketers has still not reached them. And, Ireland cricketer Gaby Lewis has made a request to the International Cricket Council (ICC). Taking to Twitter, Lewis tweeted that her luggage is still in Oman.

Lewis further asked the ICC as to whether there were any updates from them regarding her luggage. She also added in the tweet that her college notes are stuck along with her luggage, and it has been close to 2 weeks.

“Any update on our luggage that’s still in Oman. ICC 13 days and counting, worst is I left my college notes in it,” tweeted Gaby Lewis. You can see the tweet from Gaby Lewis below.

The qualifications for the 2022 World Cup will be based on rankings

Also, the International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed that the qualification for the 2022 World Cup that will be played in New Zealand will now be based on rankings of the teams. Three spots are still left to be filled for the tournament, and if the rankings are taken into consideration, then West Indies, Pakistan, and Bangladesh will qualify.

The 20-year-old Gaby Lewis has played 22 ODIs and 48 T20Is for the Ireland side. While she has scored 505 runs in the ODI format of the game, Lewis has amassed close to 1000 runs in T20I cricket. Lewis has also scored a century in the T20I format of the game as well. With the ball, Lewis has scalped 10 wickets in ODI cricket, while she has taken 3 wickets in T20I cricket.
