Windies will field a young team without any big names in the ODI series against India like they did in the Test series. These set of players have an opportunity to make a case for the next year’s World Cup while things continue to go between the senior pros and Cricket West Indies (CWI). India too will be taking the field without their first choice pacers. This will be an opportunity for the pacers to seal their place in the Indian ODI squad as back-ups.

All the approaching milestones for the players ahead of the India-Windies ODI series:

91Mohammed Shami has claimed 91 wickets in his 50-match ODI career thus far. If the pacer takes nine more wickets in the next eight matches, he will be the quickest Indian player to complete 100 ODI wickets surpassing Irfan Pathan (59 matches).

94Yuzvendra Chahal needs six more wickets to complete 100 wickets in the List A format. The Windies pacer Alzarri Joseph (46) is four wickets away from completing 50 List A wickets.

199 – The next ODI that Marlon Samuels features in will be his 200th appearance in this format. He scored 5472 runs and bagged 85 wickets in his ODI career thus far.

901 – Kieron Powell is 99 runs away from completing 1000 runs in the ODI format. The left-hander was called in as the replacement for Evin Lewis.

987 – Shimron Hetmyer needs 13 more runs to complete 1000 runs in List A cricket. Another Windies batsman Sunil Ambris (873) needs 127 more runs to complete the same milestone.

1962 – Runs Ravindra Jadeja has scored in his ODI career thus far. The all-rounder needs 38 more runs to become the 3rd Indian and overall the 25th player with 2000+ runs and 150+ wickets in ODI cricket.

4823 – Shikhar Dhawan has scored 4823 runs in the ODI format in 109 innings. If Dhawan scores 177 more runs in the next four innings, he will be the 2nd quickest to complete 5000 ODI runs after Hashim Amla (101).

9949 – MS Dhoni needs 51 more runs to complete 10000 runs in ODI cricket for India. The keeper-batsman scored 174 runs in the three ODIs he played for the Asia XI.
