IPL 2018: Players who were sold at more than 10 times their base price
Here is a look at the players who earned more than 10 times their base price in the IPL Auction
8. Ishan Kishan | MI | INR 6.2 crores | Base Price: INR 40 Lakhs | 15.5 times
Ishan Kishan is just 19-years-old. This young left-handed batsman can change the course of the game when he gets going. His abilities were first noticed in the U-19 World Cup in 2016. Ishan was exceptional in that tournament. He earlier represented the Gujarat Lions and scored 277 runs in 11 matches at an average of 27.70. He also played five matches in the 2016 IPL season.
Although he didn’t have a great season last year, the Indian wicketkeepers have had a great demand in this auction. After letting off Parthiv Patel and Jos Buttler, MI was in search of a good wicketkeeper who bats well. Young Ishan Kishan ended their quest and was bought for a massive ₹6.2 crore. Ishan was picked at 15.5 times his base price.
