Australian cricketer Pat Cummins stated that he will not be available for the remainder of the 14th IPL season that will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). And, this will surely come as a jolt for the Kolkata side.

The problems do not end here for Kolkata Knight Riders. While Eoin Morgan is most likely to miss out on the second part of the tournament as he will be rendering his duties to the England side, Andre Russell is also not a confirmed starter for the Kolkata side with the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) scheduled to take place in August and September.

The Kolkata Knight Riders experienced an ordinary campaign in the UAE last year and finished the tournament at 5th place. With Cummins pulling out and with uncertainty lurking over the participation of Morgan and Russell, the two-time IPL champions will surely be a worried lot when they arrive in the UAE for the remainder of IPL 2021.
