KL Rahul performed excellently throughout the season for the new franchise Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). He led the side well too, while scoring the second-most runs in IPL 2022. Rahul led from the front with the bat, amassing 616 runs in 15 innings at an average of 51.33 at a strike rate of 135.38.

However, his strike rate in the chases came under scrutiny especially in the Eliminator against RCB when LSG were chasing more than 200 runs. Nevertheless, it was a terrific effort from Rahul with the bat continuing his good run in the last few IPL seasons.

Moreover, Rahul was impressive with his tactics as captain, making some hard calls during the crunch moments of the game. Unfortunately, he couldn’t lead his team to the title but definitely, there were a lot of positives for him and the side on which they can build on in the next season.
