IPL 2022, Match 39 RCB vs RR, Stats Preview: Players records and approaching milestones
Mohammed Siraj (46) needs four wickets to complete 50 wickets for RCB in the IPL.
Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals will be facing each other in the 39th match of IPL 2022, to be played at MCA International Stadium in Pune. Last season, RCB reached the eliminator while RR finished seventh. So far this season, both RR and RCB are tied with five wins and ten points, while RCB has played one extra match. Both teams are playing their second match in Pune this season, with RCB defeating MI and RR defeating SRH at this ground earlier. The teams are facing each other a second time this season, with RCB defeating RR by four wickets in the first encounter.
Two of RCB’s top-three batters, Anuj Rawat, and Virat Kohli have been pretty inconsistent this season. On the other hand, Glenn Maxwell, Shahbaz Ahmed, and Dinesh Karthik have played their roles well in the middle order. Wanindu Hasaranga, Harshal Patel, and Josh Hazlewood have been their top bowlers for them. Hasaranga however has been going for plenty of runs in the last few matches.
Rajasthan Royals have Jos Buttler in steaming hot form, scoring back to back hundreds and leading the Orange Cap race. Shimron Hetmyer has also been a consistent performer with the bat. They also have the Purple Cap holder Yuzvendra Chahal, who has succeeded for the team in every match.
