IPL 2022: Ricky Ponting's son Fletcher, Rishabh Pant get involved in a fun football session

Delhi Capitals shared an entertaining video of the head coach Ricky Ponting’s son Fletcher bringing out his football skills against Rishabh Pant during a training session. Ponting seemed to have always enjoyed his stay in India along with his family, and the IPL time has always been fun for him. He is one of the most loved coaches going around and there have been a lot of instances already with the players giving a lot of credit to him for their success in the Delhi Capitals camp. Kuldeep Yadav is a pure example of Ponting’s head coach attributes as his backing and confidence have worked out really well in this season for the left-arm spinner to regain his form. Coming back to the video, Fletcher tried to tackle Pant with his football skills and he did impress during the session. Pant was spotted enjoying the vibe with Fletcher and the video ended with a long kick from the latter. Meanwhile, Ponting has played an important role in Pant being handed over the captaincy last year despite the return of Shreyas Iyer, and it is expected to do a world of good for the wicketkeeper considering his future for India. Pant managed to take Delhi to the playoffs in his debut season as captain in the last IPL edition and was retained ahead of the mega auction. In the IPL 2022 season, Delhi Capitals are at the seventh position in the points table with four wins in nine games under the captaincy of Pant. They will need to make sure that they win the remaining games and improve on their net run rate massively if they have to stand a chance to make it to the playoffs.
