Mitchell Santner is regarded as a very effective white-ball all-rounder. He possesses all of the necessary skills, whether batting, bowling, or fielding. He is an excellent lower-order batter as well as a very effective slow left-arm bowler. Despite his wonderful exploits for his national team, he was sidelined in the CSK dugout.

One of the primary reasons would be the presence of several all-round options in the Chennai squad. Ravindra Jadeja and Moeen Ali are regarded as better batters than Santner, and they are equally capable of handling bowling responsibilities in the shortest format of the game.

Santner has been with the CSK team since 2018 and has appeared in only six IPL games since then. Santner will be remembered as one of the architects with his finishing abilities in the 2019 IPL game against Rajasthan. He has also been very good at bowling, with an economy rate of only 7.00.

Santner is a very effective all-round option, so it’s surprising he didn’t get much playing time in the franchise. He bowls an effective line and length and does not provide any width to the batters. In addition, he is a very useful batter down the order with good finishing ability. He will undoubtedly attract some buyers in the future due to his consistent performance.
