The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) side finally got back to winning ways courtesy a magnificent knock at the top of the order from Jason Roy. The England opener bludgeoned his way to 60 off just 42 deliveries to help the ‘Orange Army’ make light work of a target of 165 set by the Rajasthan Royals (RR) side.
Skipper Kane Williamson scored a classy 51* off 41 deliveries, while Abhishek Sharma applied the finishing touches for the SRH side, and scored 21*. Wriddhiman Saha was the first man to depart and scored a breezy 11-ball 18 at the top of the order.
After Saha, Roy tried a delicate shot down the leg side off the bowling of Chetan Sakariya, the ball kissed his willow and settled into the hands of Sanju Samson behind the stumps. Priyam Garg departed for a first-ball duck, was foxed by a change of pace from Mustafizur Rahman, and gave a tame return catch back to the bowler.
On the bowling front, the likes of Mustafizur Rahman, Mahipal Lomror, and Chetan Sakariya chipped in with a wicket each for the Rajasthan side.

Sanju Samson scored a sparkling 82 to help the Rajasthan Royals (RR) post a total of 164/5 on the board. The RR skipper scored 7 fours and 3 sixes in his 57-ball stay out in the middle. Samson drove with precision, cut with elan, and pulled with disdain in a classic innings.
Apart from Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a quickfire 23-ball 36 at the top of the order. And, Mahipal Lomror contributed a valuable 29* off 28 deliveries at the fag end of the innings.
Siddarth Kaul was the pick of the bowlers for the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) outfit. The right-arm pacer picked up 2 wickets in his 4-over spell and leaked 36 runs. Apart from Kaul, the likes of Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Sandeep Sharma chipped in with a wicket each. In spite of this victory, the SRH side continues to stay at the 8th spot in the points table, while the Rajasthan side is occupying 6th place.
