Shahid Afridi is currently recuperating from his knee injury and has missed the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in the process. He was supposed to feature for the Jamaica Tallawahs but had to pull out of the tournament at the last moment. At the same time, he is working for his foundation making good used for the free time. However, he went live on social media for his fans on Sunday and answered a few interesting questions.

Despite hanging his boots from international cricket, Afridi has continued to play in the T20 leagues. He was the part of Karachi Kings earlier this year in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) but again his injury cut short his stint. He is yet to officially retire from all the formats and is still likely to play the next season of the PSL as well which is a good news for his fans.

Lala reveals

Shahid Afridi was available for a question-answer session the other day and the excited poured in their love for the former Pakistan cricketer. He was asked about the batsman he enjoyed bowling at and was given the options of AB de Villiers, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Virender Sehwag and Kumar Sangakkara to chose from. The 38-year-old was quick to chose the fiery South African batsman who retired from international cricket only a few months ago.

One of the fans also asked him about his favourite country apart from Pakistan and Afridi chose England but won the hearts by saying, “Nothing beats our own country Pakistan.” Moreover, he also revealed his favourite bowlers at the highest level and Lala responded quickly to say, Glenn McGrath and Wasim Akram.

Both the bowlers are still regarded among the best ever. While the Australian, also known as Pigeon, ended his career with 949 international wickets, Akram was also not far behind with 916 scalps.
