#5 Alastair Cook vs Australia

Alastair Cook is a classical Test batsman who likes to play traditional cricket. He doesn’t play the big and booming strokes, but scores runs with copybook cricket shots. He has displayed nerves of steel and bailed his team out of jail on several occasions. He has arguably been England’s most dependable batsman in Test cricket over the past one decade.

The left-handed batsman is one of the few English cricketers who have done well in Australia. However, against the same nation, he has been mediocre in home conditions. He has notched five centuries against the Kangaroos and all of them in their backyard. He registered his highest Test score of 244 not out during the recently concluded Ashes.
