Tabraiz Shamsi is by far the most improved player in this format. He has been the “X Factor” for the Proteas so far in the tournament. Not many batters have been able to pick his deliveries.

The spinner took three wickets against Sri Lanka. Alongside those three wickets, he was economical as well as he gave just the 17 runs in his 4 overs. This enabled him to win the player of the match award against them.

Shamsi then took two wickets in the next game against Bangladesh as well. His economy rate was again on the lower side (5.2). The Proteas fans would be hoping that he replicates this performance in their next game against England as well.
