Watch: Two deliveries from Ashes 2013 that left everyone shocked
In hot conditions, the hardened pitches begin to crack and wither, and assists the bowlers immensely, especially during the 3rd and the 4th day.
2. Nathan Lyon turns the ball to the widest angle:
In the second instance, England were looking down the barrel with 7 wickets down. Nathan Lyon, who had picked two of those wickets, was bowling to English spinner Graeme Swann. Pitching it on the middle, Lyon was trying to make the batsman play it while covering the middle-off stump line, and was trying for an LBW/caught off short leg with extra bounce off the pitch. But again, what we saw was something that we had a glimpse of just a few overs ago. Pitching on the middle, the ball went not to the wicket keeper or the batsman, but to leg slip. The delivery had an outrageous deviation angle of 20+ degrees, which got all the commentators rolling on the floor laughing.
