Young Afghanistan born Hamidullah Qadri made a big leap in his cricket career when he played for England U19 in a recent fixture against India U19 on Wednesday. The 16-year old cricketer is an off-spinner by trait. Qadri was born in Kandahar province in Afghanistan on December 5, 2000. He has been escalating up the ranks in the English domestic circuit. His impressive performances in the domestic circuit earned him the U19 cap recently.
Hamidullah Qadri made his First Class debut against Glamorgan last month. Playing for Derbyshire, Qadri had a dream spell in the match. He returned with figures of 5/60 in the second innings of the County fixture to help his side register their first ever win in the Championship since July 2015.
Needless to say, with the way he is making steady yet giant strides in his cricket career, Hamidullah Qadri looks like the one big prospect for English cricket in the future. He has set his eyes on the U19 side selections for the upcoming edition of the ICC U19 World Cup. The mega event will be played New Zealand in early 2018.

Afghanistan’s steady rise
The meteoric rise of Qadri is certainly a big boost for the people of Afghanistan. The Afghanistanis love their cricket and it is evident from the way their national side has escalated up the ranks in international cricket. They were recently granted the Test status by the ICC.
They are set to make their Test debut against Zimbabwe shortly. Also, their players have been making big name for themselves in the T20 tournaments across the globe. Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi had made big news earlier this year when they were picked by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League auctions.
In the tournament, Rashid finished as one among the 10 bowlers of the edition. Currently, both players are playing the Caribbean Premier League.
