Pakistan has had the reputation of producing quality pace bowlers who have terrorized batsmen all across the globe with their swing and seam. From the likes of Imran Khan, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis and Aaqib Javed to the likes of Hassan Ali, Mohammad Amer and Wahab Riaz, there has never been a shortage of talent when it comes to bowling.

Pakistan has also given one of the quickest bowlers the game of cricket has ever witness by the name of Shoaib Akhtar. The talent pool has been so large that the likes of Naved-ul Hasan Rana, Mohammad Sami and Mohammad Asif have gone into anonymity after being the spearheads during their respective eras.

Apart from the cream who represent the country at the international level, there exists a second line of brilliant fast bowlers who did not quite make the cut into the national side and are currently toiling in the domestic circuit for a substantial amount of time.

So much so that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been accused of not tapping the rich reserves of potential and not taking care of their bowlers.

The talent pool in the country has continued to surprise one and all throughout the ages and it is the teenage strata in Pakistan’s domestic circuit which befuddles many in the world. It was only a few years back that a 17-year old Mohammad Aamer shocked the entire cricketing fraternity due to his credentials in all formats of the game.

From one 17-year old to the other, this is the case of Shaheen Shah Afridi who picked up a whopping eight-wicket haul in his first-class debut while representing the Khan RL against Rawalpindi in Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. Afridi hogged all the limelight a few months back due to his physique (6′ 6″) and much was expected out of the teenage sensation.

Having seen the progress up front, it can be safely assumed that Shaheen Shah Afridi would go great guns whenever he represents his country in the future. Afridi has already tasted the International flavour of cricket as he represents the Pakistan U-19 team.

Here’s the video of his magic spell
