Match Details:

The 7th match of Men’s Cricket in the 2019 South Asian Games will be played between Nepal and Maldives at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.

The match starts at 1:15 PM local time (7:15 AM GMT) (12:45 PM IST).

Preview:

After losing to Sri Lanka Under-23s in the event opening match, the home team Nepal has bounced back with a huge win. They defeated Bhutan by 141 runs in the match that possessed T20I status. Batting first, the Nepal team finished with 236/3 in their 20 overs with help of a hundred from their skipper Gyanendra Malla. Bhutan were restricted to just 95/6 in reply. The Nepal team now face the Maldives who are lost their first two matches by margins of 109 and 98 runs. They were bundled out for just 65 against Bangladesh U23s and scored only 94/9 in reply to 192/4 by Sri Lanka U23s on Thursday.

Weather Condition/Report:

No rain is forecasted for Friday in Kirtipur but clouds are expected during this match between Nepal and Maldives.

Pitch Condition/Report:

The average scores of Tribhuvan University Ground in Kirtipur hardly matter as Nepal is expected to show their authority over Maldives on Friday like they did to Bhutan on Thursday. A 200+ total is on cards if Nepal will bat first once again. Maldives have not touched 100-run mark yet and that wait could continue.
