Regarded as one of the best fast bowlers and all-rounders of cricketing history, this cricketing genius from New-Zealand got two of the most coveted awards of the British society. He was appointed MBE (Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) in 1980 and Knighted in 1990 for his services to cricket.

An elegant right-arm batsman and a handy left-arm seam bowler, he was the first black captain of the West Indies Cricket Team. He was Knighted in 1964 for his services to the game.
