England is playing their practice match for the World T20 2016 against the Mumbai Ranji team in a very unique way. In order to give all of their 15 players a chance to get some match time, the English team requested the Mumbai team to allow four of their players to play from the Mumbai side against a full strength England side.

Four players who are representing Mumbai in this match are James Vince, Jos Buttler who will keep wickets for Mumbai in this match, David Willey who will open the bowling for Mumbai and leg-spinner Adil Rashid. The match will be regular 20 over affair with England batting first based on mutual decision.

England have been in great form since the last two years as they have seemed to have got their limited overs combination correct. They won the series against South Africa at home, scoring 400 runs in ODIs and chasing down 350 plus once.

The Mumbai team who recently lost the Irani trophy to the Rest of India after ROI chased down a record 482. England has been grouped with South Africa, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and West Indies in Group 1.  England have won the World T20 tournament, their first and only ICC tournament win, in 2010, when the event was held in West Indies and they defeated arch-rivals Australia in the finals.

Captain Eoin Morgan is very confident of the team doing well, since they are coming off a very good ODI and T20I series against South Africa recently. Though Morgan plays for Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL and Alex Hales was a part of Mumbai Indians last year, most of the English players skip IPL for their domestic season and preparation of Test cricket.

It remains to be seen if this new look English team will be able to cope up with the slow and turning wickets against some quality spin.
