There occurred a minor crack to the plans of the PCB as a blast was reported just outside the Gaddafi Cricket stadium in Lahore, Pakistan.
As reported by major news channels and the PTI at least 4 people including 2 policemen have been injured in the blast, which the officials claimed was due to a malfunctioning transformer. The PCB immediately issued a statement, which said that it was a “power transformer blast” that was due to malfunctioning in the system.
The media was prevented from visiting the accident spot and a rescue source told PTI that at the moment it could not confirm whether the blast was due to a cracker, a bomb, and an attack or because of the transformer. He said, “We have shifted the injured to hospital. About the nature of the blast, the police will better tell you,”
This explosion that happened at the Kalma Chowk in Lahore has also affected the vehicles stationed in the surrounding areas, as an auto rickshaw and three motorcycles also suffered damages. Following which the police has now isolated the stadium and its surroundings and nobody is now allowed to leave the area.
