Currently, Ravindra Jadeja is one of the best all-rounders in the world across all three formats. He is spot on with his lines and lengths and can be the most economical bowler on any day. Besides, he often chips in with useful contributions with the bat in the lower middle order.

However, in his early days, Jadeja was not performing to his potential. The best example of this is his horrible outing with the bat during the 2009 World T20 against England at Lords. Chasing 154 runs, he was promoted up the order ahead of Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni

But, he was unable to score freely and ate up 35 balls. In a do-or-die game, it was a horrible performance. With so many big hitters waiting for their opportunity, Jadeja could have simply retired out to save his team. Those extra balls eventually cost India the game as the men in blues fell short by three runs.
