The year 2014 was a decent one for Team India. They made it to the T20 World Cup final and were one of the best teams in the tournament. But, things would have been a lot better for the fans if Yuvraj Singh would have simply retired out during the 2014 T20 World Cup final.

During that year, Virat Kohli was in the form of his life, which continued till 2016 IPL. Batting first, he got India off to a swashbuckling start, but the men in blues couldn’t capitalize in the death overs. Yuvraj’s 11 runs from 21 balls drowned the whole team. His performance was so low, that Sri Lankans deliberately wanted him to be on strike.

With MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Suresh Raina, and Ravichandran Ashwin in the dugout, Yuvraj could have simply retire-out. It would have allowed India to add a few more runs to their total. The Sri Lankans went on to win the match and the World Cup.
