Australia’s right-handed batsman and left-arm orthodox spinner Michael Clarke mercilessly hammered the opponents on the international stage. Clarke boasts of having 8643 Test and 7981 ODI runs to his name in 115 and 245 games respectively. However, the all-rounder failed to replicate his stunning performance in the IPL and as a result, could play in just one season.

Michael Clarke made his debut in the T20 Extravaganza with Pune Warriors in the 2012 edition. However, he could feature in just 6 games scoring a mere 98 runs at an average of 16.3 and strike rate of 104.2. As far as the bowling is concerned, the leg-spinner took 2 wickets in 6 games while maintaining an economy of 6.09 and an average of 33.5.

Due to injuries and international commitments, Clarke didn’t feature in any other edition of the T20 Championship and hence his IPL career never took off.
