Many people would be surprised to see Rohit Sharma’s name in the list as the right-hander is considered as one of the best leaders and batsmen to play in the league. However, it would have been a different story for the Mumbai player if had been a part of Deccan Chargers for a prolonged period of time.

Rohit won the Emerging Player award with Deccan Chargers but it was his transfer from the Hyderabad franchise to Mumbai Indians that changed his entire journey. From a young Deccan Chargers player to the skipper of Mumbai Indians– Rohit Sharma achieved new heights with the Mumbai franchise.

After moving to Mumbai Indians in 2011, Rohit proved his mettle and steered his side to four IPL titles in 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019. Before that, Rohit had won one trophy with Deccan Chargers but many people believe that moving to Mumbai Indians opened the doors of success for the 32-year-old.

Be it leading his side from the front or playing scintillating knocks, Rohit’s career has flourished after donning the Mumbai Indians jersey and many people think that it was the MI jersey which turned his fortunes.
