<p>Jasprit Bumrah has been a consistent performer for India since quite a few years. The angle he generates with his action and the immense control he has on his yorkers make him one of the most difficult bowlers to face. He is often called the best death bowler of the country with all the variations he possesses and the great record he holds in the Indian Premier League and international cricket.</p>
<p>In 2017, India toured Sri Lanka for a bilateral series. The home team was slammed with dominant performers from the Indians. The touring party ended the 5-match ODI series with a complete whitewash. But the funniest moment came during the presentation series after the fifth and the last game.</p>
<p>Bumrah was given the Man of the Series award and it turned out to be a mini-truck. The mini-truck company launched a new product and signed as one of the sponsors for the tournament. The Indian players had a good laugh after seeing the award and former Indian skipper <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ms-dhoni-and-i-hail-from-places-with-no-cricketing-history-sanju-samson/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><strong>MS Dhoni</strong></a> took the truck keys to show off his driving skills. The whole Indian squad somehow managed to get on the vehicle and the Ranchi stalwart drove them all around the ground.</p>

<h3>4. Jhye Richardson was awarded bat grip and shoelaces</h3>

<p>Jhye Richardson, the fast bowler from Australia, is known as a young sensation with enormous ability. He came into limelight when he performed quite well in the Big Bash League at a young age. He was fast-tracked into the Australian line up which was following a rotation policy.</p>
<p>During the India tour of Australia in 2018-19, the speedster bowled beautifully in the first ODI. He claimed 4 wickets and gave away just 26 runs. This bowling effort of his was very handy for Aussies as they clinched victory in the 1st game of the 3-match ODI series. But funnily, during the presentation ceremony, the fast bowler was presented the Man of the Match award which turned out to be shoelaces and a bat grip.</p>
<p>It is well known that the India- Australia series is one of the most valuable series of sports. A lot of former cricketers criticised the organizers for the awards given during the series. The Indian team eventually won the series was just given $500 and the organizers saw a lot of backlash for the same.</p>

<p>Eoin Morgan is regarded as one of the greatest finishers white-ball cricket has seen. The Irish born became the English captain when the Brits wanted to change their limited-overs structure. He completely changed their conventional style and made them won the 2019 World Cup under his leadership.</p>
<p>If we talk about his batting credentials, he has played all the major T20 leagues around the world. His is considered quite a valuable batsman in limited-overs cricket for his ability to hit massive sixes under pressure. When he was playing in the Dhaka Premier League in 2013, he played such a match-winning knock.</p>
<p>For his performance, the southpaw was awarded the Player of the Match. But the award turned out to be rice cooker. It was quite a funny moment as Morgan thought that the cooker was given as a metaphor for his great knock ‘under pressure’. But it turned out that the rice cooker brand was one of the sponsors.</p>

<p>Caribbean Premier League is one of the best T20 tournaments in the cricket world. The Caribbean cricketers were a centrepiece of a lot of T20 franchises around the world and thus, West Indies cricket Board decided to initiate their own T20 League.</p>
<p>The tournament has received a lot of heavy sponsors and one of them is Sunshine snacks. The snacks brands serve nuts and chips to its customers and they chose the same path for Man of the Matches too. The sponsor presented a snacks hamper to the players who won the player of the match awards and it turned out hilarious as considering the fitness level the game requires these days, they can’t consume oily snacks.</p>
<p>The pictures of players receiving snacks hampers became quite popular on social media. Along with snacks brand, the CPL has tied up with an El Dorado Rum, as well. Though unlike chips, rum matches quite well with Caribbean way of living.</p>

<p>Luke Wright arrived as a potential hard-hitting finisher for England. He gave them a solid finisher option down the order along with his handy medium-pace bowling. A potential all-rounder for limited-overs cricket did well for the Brits during the late 2000s and early 2010s. He was also a part of England’s World T20 winning squad in 2010.</p>
<p>Later, the all-rounder focused more on T20 cricket and played in various T20 leagues all around the globe. He earned quite a lot of fame as a handy bowler and heavy hitter lower down the order. In one such tournament, Wright the won the Man of the Match award for his commendable performance on the field.</p>
<p>But surprisingly, the award turned out to be a blender which was quite awkward. Though an award is an honour after all and he took it in quite sportingly. He even posted a picture on his twitter handle, where he can be seen receiving the blender from one of the sponsors.</p>
<p>“Pleased we won my first match for Abhanai today. Have to say I have never been given a blender for MoM before,” he wrote.</p>
