Pakistan batsman Asif Ali has been going through a rather rough phase in his personal life. Back in March, he got to know that his daughter is suffering from a form of cancer that’s incurable. At that time, the fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) was underway and he was representing the Islamabad United, the two-time champions of the T20 tournament.
Despite the turmoil, Asif didn’t lose focus from the game and his pure dedication attracted praises from former cricketers, including Waqar Younis and others. On the day when he got the heart-wrenching news, Asif took the United to a victory against the Karachi Kings at the National Stadium. After the victory, even United skipper Mohammad Sami lauded Asif for his efforts.

After the match, even Dean Jones, the head coach of the United, broke down in tears in the press conference while talking about Asif’s troubles. In the meantime, it has been learned that the 27-year-old Asif is taking his daughter to the United States of America (USA). Moreover, the Faisalabad-born batter mentioned that his loved one is suffering from a stage four cancer.
The batsman took to Twitter and wrote, “My daughter is fighting the stage IV cancer and we are taking her to US for her treatment. A big shout out to @usembislamabad and @USCGLahore for issuing the visa to us within an hour. Special thanks to Mike, Elizabeth, Tanveer & @TalhaAisham Bhai. Keep my princess in your Duas!”
