India successfully registered an emphatic win over South Africa and the performance of the players is being praised by everyone from cricketing fraternity as many new records were made and broken in this Test but one player that has astonished everyone was Rohit Sharma.

It was the first time that India’s limited-overs opener had got an opportunity to open the innings in the longer format of this game. After the conflict of interest over his selection in the team for opening spot, it had already built up pressure over 32-year-old but he got himself out with a mind-wobbling performance from his willow as he got tons in both the innings of the match.

Rohit did a record partnership with youngster Mayank Agarwal of 317 runs in the first innings but missed his double ton by 24 runs as he got out on 176. He didn’t stop there but also played a swift knock of 127 runs at a strike rate of 85.23 in the second innings and went for three consecutive sixes against the young bowler of the opposition Senuran Muthusamy. In the end, India remained successful in posting a mammoth target of 402 runs in front of the visitors.
