Due to fierce competition in IPL 2021, there are various big stars who are warming the bench so far. While many don’t get a chance due to the four overseas players rule, some don’t land in the playing XI as per the given game situation. The same is the case with New Zealand hitter James Neesham, who has failed to find a place in the playing XI so far with the five-time champions Mumbai Indians.
Neesham was brought in by Mumbai Indians in IPL 2021 auction and the all-rounder played few matches with KXIP (now PBKS) last year. In the same reference, a Twitter user tried to mock Neesham over his hard-hitting skills and in turn, received a great answer. The Twitter user added that the NZ all-rounder should improve his hitting skills so as to get a chance with the team’s playing XI in T20 cricket.
“You should work on your hard-hitting abilities. You are a perfect ODI All-rounder but you need to improve your hard-hitting abilities to cement a place in the t20 playing XI. It’s so disappointing for you and us as well that Player like you warming the bench,” wrote the same fan.

In turn, Neesham came up with a sharp reply as he added a picture in response which talked about his perfect strike rate and average in the T20 cricket since 2019.
The NZ cricketer is yet to find a place with MI in their XIs. Last year he was with the Punjab side and played five games where he got two wickets and managed just 19 runs in three innings. Talking about the MI side, even they are struggling to find rhythm in this edition of the IPL. The five-time champions have just won two out of their five games played so far. They are sitting at the fourth slot in the points table and will next lock horns with Rajasthan Royals.
The Royals have a better record against the defending champions and it will be a thing to see who will bag the match in their upcoming clash.
