There was a lot of sledging and pulling of legs (not literally) going on during the second Test in Bengaluru. Sometimes it was the Australians doing it while the Indians also showed their sledging skills. But the battle was not only on the fields but it was off the field as well. There is always a silent war going on between the commentators as well.

Just like Ravi Shastri, very subtly trolled the Australians after they lost all wickets when they needed 187 runs to win. Dean Jones also tried his best to mock Aakash Chopra with his Holi tweet. But that wasn’t it, the former Australian cricketer’s answer to Aakash Chopra’s cheeky dig at the veteran was the one to watch out for.

Aakash Chopra predicted an India win in the third Test and tweeted asking Dean about his thoughts on it. The tweet read, “India Wins @ProfDeano, any thoughts on this on this one?”  To that Dean Jones reply was a fiery one. His tweet read, “Already you guys are a little spooked! The team and the Indian media reactions in the last Test show it! #beafraid #wearecoming #indvaust.”

Everyone thought that this would keep the former Indian opener shut. But that wasn’t the case, Aakash Chopra came out with a brilliant reply. That surely settled the debate. He mocked the Australians by saying that if he could ask the dressing room for help because he wanted to review Dean Jones predictions.

The tweet said, “Can I ask for some help from the dressing room to review this one please?” The Indian fans loved his response and that destroyed the Australian. That was one heck of a reply from Chopra wasn’t it?

These battles within battles are fun to witness and are taken in good spirit by both the parties. They add spice to the Test series and make it more and more interesting.
