Aakash Chopra, the former Indian cricketer-turned-commentator is quite an active personality on social media platforms. He too often comes out with interesting trivia, quizzes and analysis of matches for the fans. During these days in lockdown, he has become proactive and is coming out with some unique ways to interact with his followers. On Thursday, he gave his list of top six all-time greatest T20 batsmen in the history of international cricket.

The advent of T20 cricket has certainly changed the scenario of cricket across the globe. Surprisingly, the fans have liked this format more in comparison to ODIs and Tests. Meanwhile, many cricketers have also transformed themselves into a different league player according to the T20 format.

At the moment, there are several great T20 batsmen across the globe and there is a strong debate going on in cricketing fraternity that which batsman is the best in the shorter format. In the meantime, Aakash Chopra has given his verdict over the same.

Rohit Sharma sixth in Aakash Chopra’s list of top six T20 batsman

He picked Chris Gayle as the all-time greatest T20 batsman, who has an overall T20 career strike rate of 146.9. As per the former Indian cricketer, the veteran batsman from West Indies creates a big impact on the opponent on the back of his brilliant batting that makes him the number one in the shorter format.

After that, he took the name of AB de Villiers, the former Proteas player from South Africa as one of the finest white-ball cricketer. There is no doubt over the fact that he is one of the most demanded players in the T20 leagues across the globe. Kieron Pollard and David Warner were given three and fourth positions respectively in Chopra’s list.

Surprisingly, he picked Virat Kohli on the fifth position in terms of his impact in T20 cricket. The former player said that he is a consistent performer but his strike rate is not that good in the T20 format. Last but not the least, Rohit Sharma got sixth place in Chopra’s list.

According to Chopra, the Indian Hitman has the lowest average in comparison to other batsmen in his log. Moreover, his overall T20 career strike rate is also a big problem that is just 133.7, which is way less than other players.
