The much-awaited Indian Premier League (IPL) is all set to enter in its new decade when the tournament will commence on April 7. All the eight franchises have overhauled their respective squads as the mega-auction was held earlier this year in Bengaluru. While the teams were allowed to retain a few players, they built their actual squad in the auction. Aaron Finch was picked by Kings XI Punjab this year and now has a unique record to his name after featuring in the league all these years.

Finch is known as one of the best hitters going around in the cricketing world in the shortest format of the game. He opens for Australia as well and has been the prominent member of the team for a long time now. He has been featuring in the Indian T20 extravaganza since 2010 when Rajasthan Royals had first picked him in the players draft. But he could play only a solitary game and scored only 21 runs during his stay in the middle.

What is the record?

When Aaron Finch was bought by Kings XI Punjab earlier this year in the auction, he became the only player in the history of IPL to play for seven franchises. He has never played more than two seasons for any franchises which is amazing given the fact that he is such an explosive batsman in T20 format. He has so far played for Delhi Daredevils, Pune Warriors India, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Lions. He fared really well for Lions under the leadership of Suresh Raina in the last couple of years and played almost all the games.

Only 4 times since 2010, Finch has played the whole season which should leave everyone perplexed. Even he will be itching to prove himself while playing for Kings XI Punjab and continue playing in the same vein he has been playing recently. Finch has so far played 65 matches in the IPL and has scored 1604 runs at a decent average of 130.08. he has also smashed 13 half-centuries with 88* being his highest scores.

Yuvraj Singh, in this regard, has played for five franchises so far in last 10 years and he will once again feature for Kings XI Punjab this year. Delhi Daredevils, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Pune Warriors India and Sunrisers Hyderabad are the other teams he has featured for in the IPL.
