The outbreak of coronavirus has forced several cricketers to stay at their home. The outbreak has led to the cancellation of many cricket matches. The first series which got affected due to this was the ODI series between Australia and New Zealand, which was going on earlier this month. The cancellation led to the Aussie cricketers going back home and staying in self-isolation.

As cricketers are spending some time off the field and enjoying their quarantine time, Australian captain Aaron Finch decided to have Questions and Answers session with all his Twitter fans. During this Q&A session, a fan asked the Aussie skipper, who was the toughest bowler he has faced in international cricket and in the nets.

Aaron Finch is associated with Melbourne Renegades in BBL

Finch didn’t back out from answering as he revealed that Mitchell Johson in the nets was the toughest bowler he has faced. His reply to the question was, “Mitchell Johnson in the nets!!”

Mitchell Johnson and Aaron Finch have played a lot of cricket together for Australia. Johnson was a regular feature of the Australian one-day setup when the batsman was starting out at the international level. In fact, Finch might have faced some really quick bowling from Johnson during the Big Bash League or the Indian Premier League.

In BBL, Johnson and Finch have never played together so surely they have come face to face. Johnson played for the Perth Scorchers late in his career while Aaron has been with Melbourne Renegades since the inception of the league.

Mitchell Johnson retired from international cricket in 2015. In fact, Johnson didn’t play an ODI after the final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, which Australia won at home. In 153 ODIs, Johnson picked up 239 wickets at an average of 25.26.

The left-arm fast bowler from Queensland will go down as one of the finest pacers in Australian cricket history. At his peak, Johnson could bowl deliveries with massive pace. He was one of the few bowlers during his time, who could bowl with a pace of more than 150 Km/hr.

The highlight of his career would be during the Ashes 2013-14 when he caused havoc on the English dressing room. During the five tests, the pacer picked up 37 wickets and bowled like a wind throughout the summer.
