AB de Villiers gifts a Protea Cap to the young fan

AB de Villiers’ decision to quit the international cricket created the shockwaves among the cricketing fraternity. While many couldn’t believe that one of the greatest cricketers of this generation was hanging his boots, the fans were left in utter disbelief. One such fan named Leo Sadler burst into the tears after he came to know about the news of De Villiers’ retirement. However, the humble cricketer met him recently and also gifted him the cap of the South African national team only to make him happy.

The 34-years-old spoke highly of Leo and hoped that he grows as a humble human being in the near future. He also gifted him an autographed bat while appreciating the way Leo knew about the cricket and his facts. De Villiers later shared a picture with him on his official Instagram handle as well and was full of praise for the young kid.

“Great to meet Leo Sadler… A young man with a big heart and plenty of character. Full story on Breakfast with Martin Bester @jacarandafm ….#jacabreakfast,” he captioned the picture with Leo.

However, a video of AB de Villiers meeting Leo Sadler is going viral now on Youtube which was released by Jacaranda FM. Both appeared on the show as Leo revealed that he was very sad post the retirement of the legendary cricketer. While he was recalling his dreadful experience, De Villiers walked into the frame to surprise his fan and hugged him. It was a lifetime experience for Leo as he was smiling right through until he was with the Superman of South Africa.

Even De Villiers was impressed with the 14-year-old and praised him while saying, “Leon knows his cricket. Besides being a well-informed cricketer, I see in him a genuinely nice human being who is humble. He must keep up with this attitude if he wants to play pro.”
