Aaron Finch, the right-handed Australian opener is one of the clean hitters of the ball across the globe. He also holds the record for the highest individual score of 172 runs in T20I. On his good days, he can be a nightmare for any bowler. But, one player who has troubled him in his career so far is Dale Steyn. However, he has come up with a statement that might delight his on-field competitor.

The right-handed batter is the skipper of the Australian cricket team in the limited-overs format but has struggled in the Tests. After a poor series against India at home last summer, he was sidelined and is yet to find a place in the side again.

Steyn and Finch share a strong rivalry on the cricket field. Who can forget the dream delivery bowled by the former Proteas fast-bowler to dismiss settled Aaron Finch during the triangular ODI series in 2014 when South Africa and Australia locked horns?

Steyn’s dream delivery still at the back of Finch’s mind?

After opening the innings, Aaron Finch was settled and looking dangerous to take the game away from the Proteas. However, midway through the innings, Steyn started to reverse swing the ball and immediately reaped the rewards. In the 28th over of the innings, the pace bowler uprooted Finch’s middle-stump with a dream delivery which was absolutely unplayable. It’s been four years since and it seems like Steyn’s dream ball is still at the back of Finch’s mind.

Recently, the Australian international looked quite active in his off time from cricket. He also held a Q&A session to interact with the fans. So, a fan questioned Finch asking if Dale Steyn is the toughest bowler he has ever faced. Aaron Finch delighted his fan with a heartwarming reply in which he wrote, “Absolute legend of the game!!”

Another fan asked if he likes “Pink ball or Red Ball?”. It is known that Finch is not fond of facing red-ball because he feels uncomfortable while playing in the Tests. So, he replied, “White.”
