The United Arab Emirates started the ACC Western Region T20 2020 as favourites and did reach that expectations by making it to the final. They have not lost any matches in the tournament and also defeated Kuwait in group stage whom they will be facing in the big final on Thursday. Kuwait has been ruthless in the tournament barring the loss against the UAE side. They registered two big wins in the group stage and thumped Bahrain by 87 runs in the semi-final.
There will be periodic clouds around the Ministry Turf 1 on Thursday but there is no forecast of rain during the match.
The Ministry Turf 1 ground has witnessed big totals in this tournament, especially in the morning matches. In the four morning matches in this tournament, three times the team batted first recorded 180+ totals. However, will Kuwait and UAE faces off on Thursday, we might see slightly lower scores even if the pitch is a belter. Chasing 160+ totals won’t be that easy here if we go by historic data of the venue.
Average first innings score: 178 (Morning matches in this tournament)
Record of chasing teams: Won – 1, Lost – 3
(Will be added when there is an update)
Probable Playing XIs:

Muhammad Aslam is making a proper impact with the ball as he picked 11 wickets with help of two 4-wicket hauls in the previous two matches. Aslam could also be seen contributing with the bat as he scored 56 runs in two innings. The success of Kuwait bowlers has helped Usman Gani to earn points through his keeping. He scored 122 runs with two fifties across three innings he batted and affected eight dismissals.
Junaid Siddique could be seen troubling the Kuwait batsmen with his pace in the final. Junaid is in good form having picked up 8 wickets at a strike rate of 9.7 with help of a 4-wicket haul. Zahoor Khan has been equally impressive in the tournament though he played only three matches. Zahoor picked seven wickets in those three outings and conceded at an economy of only 3.9.

The fantasy line-up for this match could well depend on the nature of the pitch. If there is a bit of spin, as many as seven players from all-rounders and bowlers are needed. However, if the track is slightly in favour of batsmen, a maximum of 6 players can be afforded across keepers and batsmen’s categories.
United Arab Emirates are expected to win the final against Kuwait due to their experience.
