It is fair to say that cricket is not only a game in India, but it is also a religion. It transcends all the boundaries, unites the people not only from all walks of life, from people of different professions but also from different caste, creed, and religion. Even prominent figures from the field like Bollywood turn into fanboys/fangirls whenever their favourite cricketer is in action on the field.

Cricketers are treated as demi-gods and as Justin Langer said of Sachin Tendulkar once, that seeing him bat in front of the fans, is like the Beatles performing. In the modern-day context, there is hardly anyone who has captured the imagination of not only ordinary fans but also prominent figures from all walks of life is former Indian captain and champion wicketkeeper-batsman, MS Dhoni.

And, Bollywood actress Tamannaah Bhatia is not obscured from the aforementioned fact. The beautiful actress from South India was spotted on the sidelines of a match between Deccan Gladiators and Qalandars in the recently concluded Abu Dhabi T10 League. Tamannah is an ardent MS Dhoni fan, something she wholeheartedly confessed to when asked about her favourite cricketer.

“Well I mean I am from India, so, you know Dhoni is someone I’m a big fan of.” Tamannaah Bhatia, when asked about her favourite cricketer during the T10 League.

MS Dhoni has been on an extended sabbatical since the 2019 World Cup

Meanwhile, the former Indian captain MS Dhoni is on an extended sabbatical from International cricket since India’s heartbreaking defeat to New Zealand in the semi-final of the 2019 World Cup last July. Fans have been eagerly waiting for an update about Dhoni’s future as to whether he will once again be seen in India colours.

Recently, reports have emerged that the champion wicketkeeper-batsman has been sweating it out in the nets from the past one month and is currently focussed on performing in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. The source close to Dhoni had also mentioned that the former captain will take a call on his International future post the T20 tournament. Meanwhile, Team India have announced their squad for the upcoming series against the West Indies where Sanju Samson will serve as a second wicket-keeping option to the incumbent Rishabh Pant.
