Liverpool Football Club footballer Adam Lallana utilized his break from football in the most appropriate way. The England international flew to London to be a part of the ongoing Test match between England and South Africa. The 29-year-old star travels frequently to London when his club faces the heavyweights from London in the name of Chelsea and Arsenal. But this time the player decided to try out a different sport.
Besides satisfying himself with some class cricketing action, Lallana also met England cricket team skipper Joe Root and all-rounder Moeen Ali in the dressing room. The cricketer was cool enough to enter the pavilion without a jacket and tie, much against the rule at the Lords stadium and met Moeen Ali and Liam Dawson. He later bumped onto Root, who made his debut as the captain memorable by playing a tremendous knock of 190 runs.
The incident took place on the first day’s play after stumps which was on Thursday. However, the talented footballer was not charged for his breach of conduct because he did not go too deep inside the pavilion. Lallana also clicked some selfies with the cricketers to preserve some memories of the day.
“The picture was taken five feet into the building and he didn’t go further, so not an issue.” said a MCC spokesperson.
England cricket and Moeen Ali shared the pictures on Twitter from their respective Twitter handles as it was a treat for the fans to see sportsmen from different sports sharing the same screen.
