Two cricketing giants of the world, India, and Australia are going lock horns in the latter part of this year on Australian soil. As per the reports, the Adelaide Oval’s onsite hotel is all set to fulfil the purpose of the bio-secure bubble for the men squad of Australia, which will take against India in a Test series.

Cricket Australia came up with the announcement on Saturday that the home side will return from the UK tour to Adelaide for a mandatory quarantine period.

The home side will then prepare for the upcoming season, which also includes series against India. There are some players who are neither involved in the IPL nor coaching who will make the Adelaide Oval their home after concluding the ODI series against England.

These players can go up with their training along with a quarantine period at the same venue. For players like Nathan Lyon, Mitchell Starc, Marnus Labuschagne, and Matthew Wade, the session will mark their Test preparation to take on heavyweights India.

“I can’t wait for India to come out … that’s the pinnacle, like the Ashes. You look at the great players India’s got, it’s going to be a massive challenge.” As per reports, CA also “remains in productive conversations with state governments regarding arrival and quarantine arrangements for the Indian team, as well as Australian players returning from the IPL in the UAE,” said Nathan Lyon as quoted by cricket.com.au.

All set for cricketing action in South Australia

As per reports, SACA Chief Executive Keith Bradshaw feels it will be a great moment for them to assist the Australian men’s cricket team in their series lined up in the future in South Australia.

“We are happy that we are able to assist the Australian men’s cricket team on their return to South Australia and at Adelaide Oval in the Oval Hotel. Rest assured, we have undergone rigorous procedures with Premier Steven Marshall and the SA Government, to ensure the safety of the public and the players. Our hope is that the Oval Hotel can continue to be used in the successful staging of international cricket this season,” said Bradshaw in a CA statement.
