Manish Pandey played an important role in helping Karnataka retain the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on Sunday. Against Tamil Nadu in the final, he led from the front for his team with the bat scoring 60 off just 45 balls and then lit up the stadium with his exceptional fielding in crunch moments. Karnataka won the thrilling game by just 1 run and soon after lifting the title, Pandey has entered the wedlock with the actress Ashrita Shetty.

The final was played at Lalbhai Contractor Stadium in Surat which ended around 10.30 PM on Sunday and Manish Pandey was in Mumbai the next morning to tie the knot with Ashrita. The ceremony is known to have attended by only close family and friends. The pictures of the same are going viral on social media now with both, bride and groom, wearing a traditional outfit for the marriage.

Ashrita Shetty is a well-known face in the South Indian film industry. She shot to fame after winning a beauty pageant in 2010. The 26-year-old has also featured in the films like Indrajith, Oru Kanniyum Moonu Kalavaanikalum. It is also being speculated that she is playing a lead role in an upcoming movie under the direction of R. Panneerselvam.

The news of Manish Pandey and Ashrita Shetty getting married was confirmed in October this year even as the couple rumoured to have dated each other for quite a bit of time.

Manish Pandey also gearing up for West Indies series

Meanwhile, Manish Pandey, soon after entering the ‘husband’ club in the Indian team, will have to join the Men in Blue ahead of the T20I series against the West Indies. India are scheduled to play three T20Is and as many One-Day Internationals against the Caribbean team led by Kieron Pollard from December 6. Pandey is a part of both the squads and would love to contribute to the team’s cause.

He hasn’t got consistent chances in the playing XI but Pandey’s recent form and the way he led Karnataka to the SMA T20 title should keep him in good stead. It will also be interesting to see, how he converts his domestic form with the bat into the international arena.
