Kohli will sledge you every time you bowl a dot ball to him: Al-Amin Hossain
“Virat Kohli will sledge you every time you bowl a dot ball to him. He uses slang words, which I cannot say in front of an audience. He tries to create pressure on the bowler, mentally disturb him,” the Bangladesh pacer said.
He further explained that he bowled to great batsmen like Rohit Sharma, Chris Gayle and Shikhar Dhawan, but no one does what the Indian skipper does.
“I have bowled to Chris Gayle, Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, the other great batsmen in the world. None of them is like this. They defend when you bowl a good ball, they don’t say anything. Kohli is not like that, he will sledge you in return,” he added.
A few days back, another fast-bowler from Bangladesh, Rubel Hossain had talked about his sledging experience with the Kohli. He had revealed that the battle of words between him and Kohli has been going on since their U-19 days.
“He used to do a lot of sledging then. Maybe he does it a little less for the national team. We all know how abusive he was in the U-19 days,” he had said in a Facebook Live conversation with Tamim Iqbal.
Kohli infamously had sledged Rubel during the opening match of 2011 Cricket World Cup. The fast-bowler had also given him a fiery send-off four years later, during the quarter-final of the 2015 Cricket World Cup.
