Amitabh Bachchan congratulates Chris Gayle on his wonderful knock

Chris Gayle was on song yesterday against England after he smashed a crackling century against England at the Wankhede in Mumbai. The ‘Gayle Storm’ hit Mumbai and the Brits were ones to suffer the damages. The Jamaican giant helped West Indies take on the mighty England and chase down a massive score of 183 inside 20 overs. He scored a highly entertaining unbeaten knock of 100 runs off just 48 balls laced with 11 sixes and 5 fours.

Gayle created many records in his last innings, he now holds the record for most number of sixes in World T20, his ton came up in just 47 deliveries which is now the fastest in World T20. On the contrary, he is the only cricketer to have scored two centuries in World T20. The first came in the inaugural World T20. His innings received appreciation from all corners and one among them was Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

Amitabh Bachchan  took to his official Twitter handle to congratulate Gayle on this achievement as he tweeted saying, “T 2176 – CHRIS GAYLE incredulous! Apologies for not being able to meet you in Mumbai, and to listen to my songs from you. Saw game ! WOAH !”

Amitabh Bachchan, who resides in the metropolitan city, apologized for missing out on his innings in Mumbai.

Chris Gayle also replied to the Bollywood legend and assured that both will surely catch up later. He tweeted:

Earlier, Gayle had gifted his Spartan Gold bat similar to what he used in last year’s BBL as a gift to Amitabh Bachchan all the way from the Caribbean. Gayle and Amitabh have built a great rapport between themselves which is really heart warming for the fans and followers.
