England pulled off a shock win over the high-flying Kiwis at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in Delhi. However, while the news was met with massive celebrations all over the Island of England, the twitter account of one, Mr. Andrew Flintoff came to life.

Andrew Flintoff is nothing short of a British hero. While playing against the greatest rival Australia, it has been said that England would rather lose a battleship rather than a Test match against the Aussies. This ideology has been strictly administered into the minds of young and budding England cricketers. Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff was one of those players.

The Ashes of 2009 well and truly did belong to Andrew Flintoff. Each time he ran into bowl at the likes of Justin Langer and Ricky Ponting, his body found a way to gain an extra yard of pace. It has been almost 7 years since the Ashes triumph and almost 4 years since Flintoff announced his retirement. His favorite hobby is to tussle with fans and cricketing ‘experts’ on twitter.

Most recently, Flintoff was at the receiving end of a barrage of Tweets following a tussle with Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan. While it seemed as though the former England pacer and Big B had indeed ‘kissed and made up’, Freddie Flintoff was back to his Twitter antics following England’s win and passage through to the final. In the previous banter, Flintoff had suggested that the final of the World T20 would be contested between India and England at the Eden Gardens.

Fred’s tweet read: “Shall we go to the final? Reckon my mate @SrBachchan can get us a couple of tickets”

While Amitabh Bachchan’s reply is still awaited, former England batsman Robert Key also got into the act. His tweet read: “I can get u and Clyde (Clyde Ren) a ticket. Don’t know about your other mate. Haha”
