Anil Kumble and Sanjay Manjrekar draw lakhs from BCCI as commentary fees

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has been putting up the payments made above 25 lakhs on its website to make things more transparent. And as per the latest update it appears that the Board paid former India skipper Anil Kumble and batsman Sanjay Manjrekar approximately Rs 39 lakh and Rs 36 lakh respectively towards fees for commentary during the home series against South Africa played from October to December.
The amounts paid to Kumble and Manjrekar has been listed in BCCI’s latest payments update for the month of January. To be precise Manjrekar pocketed Rs 36,49,375 for his services during the India-South Africa Test series. Jumbo, on the other hand, has received Rs 39,10,500, as he was a part of the commentary panel during Test as well as the ODIs series.
Apart from that the Indian cricket board has also paid a huge sum of Rs 11.6 crore (approx) to International Management Group (UK) LTD in a couple of installments for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2016. The exact amounts paid are- Rs 5,80,09,500 and Rs 5,80,09,528.
Another substantial payment made by the BCCI during the month of January is Rs 2,02,38, 769 that they granted to Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) as Infrastructure subsidy claim for installation of Solar Power Plant at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
The Meghalaya Cricket Association also received a sum of Rs 56.25 lakh. It was a due payment that the Association should have received a couple of years ago towards annual infrastructure assistance for the year 2012-13.
