Practising at MCC nets
South Africa will take on India in the much-anticipated match on Sunday (11th June) which will be a virtual quarter-final and to prepare for the same, they had an optional training session at Lord’s on Friday. However, the one who caught everyone’s attention was Arjun who was practising in the Lord’s indoor stadium.
Learning from his father, he knows that if one has to play for India, it requires daily practice with regressive training and fortitude. Coming to London to enjoy his academic break, Arjun made sure to work on his cricketing skills. He is primarily a bowler and was seen working on his game with the willow.
In Sachin’s biopic ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ there is a scene where the master is teaching his son batting technique and the commitment he should offer when at the crease. Arjun is a promising young allrounder in age group cricket and has been a part of the Mumbai team at U14 as well as U16 levels. He was also picked in the West Zone squad at the U13 level and played in the all-India Vijay Merchant Trophy at the U16 level.
