Last month, a popular cricket magazine published a report which showed the annual income of the skippers of international cricket teams. Undoubtedly, such big figures might have baffled many readers. Now, in a report by the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination, it is revealed that Asad Shafiq is the highest played Pakistani cricketer in 4 years.

If we look at the annual income of the players who lead their nation in the game, Australian skipper Steve Smith‘s name comes first in the list. The leader of the Kangaroos makes about $ 1.47 million annually. Pakistani skipper Sarfraz Ahmed receives around $ 0.30 million in a calendar year. As per reports in The News, the income of Pakistani cricketers over the last 4 years was declared in a Senate session, which was chaired by presiding officer Tahir Mushhadi.

The 31-year-old cricketer from Karachi, Asad Shafiq has received around Rs 111 million over the past 4 years, an amount which is way ahead of the others next to him. The second highest paid cricketer received rs 97.3 million, which is 13.7 million less than Shafiq’s income. The cricketer who is second in the list is the veteran all-rounder, Mohammad ‘The Professor’ Hafeez.

Misbah ahead of Sarfraz
