Team India has given Pawan Negi his debut, also Harbhajan Singh and Bhuvneshwar Kumar come in place of Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Ashish Nehra. A well-deserved break for the regular players while this is the best chance to impress for the ones included.

Indian skipper MS Dhoni said: “We wanted to bat first just in case we have to bat in the final. Slightly more than the last wicket. I do not think much has changed. We have plenty of changes, Ashish Nehra, Ashwin and Jadeja make way for Bhuvi, Harbhajan and Pawan Negi.”

Amjad Javed after winning the toss said: “We will bat first. I guess, it is the same wicket that we played against Pakistan. Everything has gone well for us. We will try that again today.”

The United Arab Emirates won the toss and have opted to bat first against India in the Asia Cup T20 match.
