Athiya Shetty irked by KL Rahul’s mention by designer Vikram Phadnis
Reports of their relationship emerged earlier this year.

Back in June, it was reported that KL Rahul, the Indian batsman, is in a relationship with Athiya Shetty, a popular Bollywood actress. As per a source, Rahul and Athiya were going around with each other. It was learned that they started dating a little before February this year and things were quite serious. If reports are to be believed, the two met through common friends.
The two also refrained from making any public appearance to avoid speculation. The duo didn’t speak anything about their relationship back them. They were seen together only once when a mutual friend Akansha Ranjan Kapoor shared a picture with two of them, Interestingly, Rahul has lately been known to date Akansha, who’s also actress Ali Bhatt’s best friend.
Previously, Rahul was also linked with Nidhi Agerwal, who later cleared the air, saying that the cricketer is only a good friend. As far as Athiya is concerned, she is the daughter of veteran Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty and made her debut with the film Hero back in 2015.
She will next be seen opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Motichoor Chaknachoor. In the meantime, another development surrounding the Rahul-Athiya saga has come to the fore. Recently, Athiya posted a motivational quote on Instagram, which read, “Trust the Timing of your life,”
KL’s name irks Athiya
Seeing the message, Vikram Phadnis, the popular costume designer and one of Athiya’s close friends, made some cheeky comments. In the first one, he used KL Rahul’s initials to tease the actress. “You seem to be v hyper and excited these days ??? Let’s go to KL ??? ….. Kuala Lumpur ???”
He didn’t stop and dropped a few more messages. “I will complain to the UMPIRE !! @athiyashettyand once your WICKET is gone … it’s back to the pavilion !!!” The comments didn’t quite please Athiya and she replied, saying, “TIME to block you!”

Rahul is currently in the West Indies taking part in the two-match Test series. In the first Test at North Sound, Antigua, he got a couple of starts, but couldn’t convert them. He recently had the privilege of donning the national jersey in the 2019 World Cup in England and Wales.
