It is a mystery how RCB have never won the IPL. They have the most explosive top-order in the IPL in Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers and yet they can’t cross the final hurdle. The major issue for them over the years has been maintaining balance and they end up being top-heavy on most occasions.

They brought in Mitchell Starc who is probably the best white-ball fast bowler in the World currently and David Wiese who provides them some depth in batting and is a very wily bowler with his change ups.

They have got in Kedar Jadhav during the trading window so that lower-middle order is less shakier than it was last season. Sarfaraz Khan, who made the headlines last season for his knock against Rajasthan Royals will be looking to bring more to the table this year.

RCB’s main concern has been their bowling. Mitchell Starc will be expected to do the most of the hard work at the top of the order as his fast bowling partner Varun Aaron has been known to be quite erratic. Yuzvendra Chahal came into his own last season and will be looking to revisit his last season’s form. RCB management will be looking cover the chinks in their armour.

There are a plethora of Indian fast bowlers they can pick from and those will be their prime targets one feels with some middle-order reinforcements, they might also like to bring the local boy Stuart Binny on board.
